Carleton Civic Centre

The Carleton Civic Centre is one of the most modern recreation facilities in the Province. Opened in 1995, the multipurpose building is home to a heated arena, a 25M swimming pool, meeting and banquet rooms, and a fitness club. The Carleton Civic Centre has truly become the place “where our community comes together”. 

 

 

Our arena features seating for 850, 6 dressing rooms, an official’s room, first aid room and a 1/8 mile walking track. Our ice season runs from late September to late April. The Civic Centre is proud to be the home arena for the Junior A Woodstock Slammers, the  During our off ice season, May – September, the arena is fully equipped to handle concerts, trade shows and dances. 

Our 5 lane 25M competition pool is complimented by a large toddler pool. Other on-deck features include: 1M and 3M diving boards, a water slide with an 11-foot drop and a tarzan rope. Men’s, ladies’ and family changerooms and a viewing area round out the facility. Our pool is home to the Western Valley Swim and Triple C Synchro Swim teams. Our certified staff instructs a wide range of aquatic programs for all ages. And there are ample times for the general public to join in during public or lap swimming. The pool also hosts children’s birthday parties on a regular basis. 

 

Added in 1998 through a renovation project, the Carleton Fitness Club offers individuals the opportunity to work out in an air-conditioned gym featuring top of the line equipment.
We have 10 pieces of cardiovascular equipment, an eleven piece circuit of Cybex weight machines and a complete free weight area. Satellite radio and TV set the backdrop for a great workout. Prices for joining the Club are extremely reasonable considering all memberships include use of the pool & arena and discounts on fitness programs.
