The Woodstock Slammers made two transactions before the trade deadline last. The Slammers traded the MJAHL list rights of Murray Bavis to the Yarmouth Mariners for their 6th round draft pick in 2008. Moncton also returned the Slammers first round pick in 2008 which was part of the David Crossman deal.
"We were quiet and to be honest we as a management team were not prepared to part with any of our current players" commented Coach Tatarnic. You have to recognize that the current players are the reason for our success this season. When asked about Jordan Knox Tatarnic had this to say "we inquired and made an offer but the Caps decided Weeks made a better offer. At the end of the year each team can decide if they made the right or wrong moves as buyers or sellers.
Next up for the Slammers are the Weeks Crushers on Saturday night then they play the Truro Bearcats Sunday afternoon.
