The Woodstock Slammers are happy to announce the commitment of goaltender Andre Guay (89) for the fall. The Slammers acquired Guay's MJAHL list rights from the Dieppe Commandos as part as the Andrew Langan trade last season. Coach Tatarnic is very familar with Andre as he is a product of the Notre Dame Hounds program.
"Andre has a strong work ethic which I feel is very important at the goaltender position. I expect the goaltender to be the hardest working player on the ice during games and practices. Andre will be a welcomed addition as he adds experience to the Slammers and we look forward to having him here in the fall" commented Tatarnic.
"I'm looking forward to the upcoming season and the opportunity to play for a great organization as the Slammers. They have built a strong reputation of producing compettive teams year after year and advancing players on to the next level" Commented Andre Guay.
With the commitment of Andre Guay the Slammers currently have four goaltenders on their protected list that also include Curtis Black, Tyler Piercy and Matt Murphy. It has been confirmed that Matt Murphy will not be in camp due to an injury that will sideline him for the entire season.
