The Woodstock Slammers started the new year with a trade. The Slammers have traded Matt Tomah and future considerations to the Dieppe Commandos. In return Woodstock receives the rights to Marshall Worden and future considerations.
"It was tough to trade Matty but all parties involved felt it was the best move for Matt this season. Matt is a Moncton Wildcat draft pick and by being in Dieppe it allows the Wildcats to have full access to him and these feelings were shared to us by the Wildcats and the family. We wish him all the best" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
In return the Slammers receive the rights to Marshall Worden. Worden has played the past two seasons in the QMJHL with the Acadie-Bathurst Titans. "We're happy to receive Marshall's rights and we expect to have him in the line-up this Saturday when we travel to Miramichi. Marshall will add a physical presence to our line-up and we look forward to having him in Woodstock" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
