The Woodstock Slammers played their first game of the EJHL Winter Showcase against the Green Mountain Glades. The game finished in a 2-2 tie.
Lucas Mckinley opened the scoring in the first frame with assists going to Ryan Tesink and Nick Huard. Green Mountained tied the game before the first frame ended. In the last frame Green Mountain scored first to take 2-1 lead but Brogan Bailey scored to tie the game with assists going to Andrew Langan and Branden Kosolofsky.
The Showcase rules state that games are finished after the second frame regardless if the game is tied.
"At times both teams had some problems executing plays due to the poor ice conditions but the tempo of the game was high and gReen Mountain is a very good skating team. Time to refuel and enjoy another college game tonight and get ready for the Bay State Breakers tomorrow morning.
The Slammers will face the Bay State Breakers tomorrow morning with a 10:30 AM start time.
