The Woodstock Slammers defeated the bay Sate Breakers today by a score of 4-1 at the EJHL Winter Showcase earlier today.
"Both teams played very well today and the ice conditions were much better so both teams were able to demonstrate their skill sets. They have a fast team and they move the puck very well so we had to be aware of their transition game. It was a good showing for us as a team and a number of players created some interest from Division 1 and 3 schools" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
In the photograph are the Bay State coaches. From left to right are: Dave Rennie, Kyle Robertson and Dave McCauley. Both teams agreed prior that the losing staff members would wear the winning team's sweater for a photograph.
"We've developed a good relationship over the years with their staff so we decided to have a little fun with the outcome of the game. All three are great guys and we are looking forward to the next time we play each other" added Coach Tatarnic
