The Woodstock Slammers quiet during the trade deadline and made no transactions on January 10th. "We made two trades earlier in January that made sense to us that filled some holes fo us" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
The Slammers acquired Marshal Worden who brings an element of toughness to the team and Rob Zandbeek who brings some speed and grit to the line-up. "Trying to make deals on the day of the deadline can be frustrating experience if you are the buyer as a number of teams may be looking to acquire the same player which turns into a bidding war. We talked to a few teams briefly but at the end of the day we were happy with our line-up" added Tatarnic.
Up next for the Slammers are the Miramichi Timberwolves at home this Weednesday night at the Carleton Civic Centre with a 7:30 PM start time.
