 "The bads news is Andre is will see the doctor again after a week to evaluated again due to the swelling and at that time a proper timeline will be given. Andre will not be returning this series. The good news is that according to Hockey Canada Rules the Slammers will be allowed to add an emergency goaltender from within the division until Andre fully recovers. We have made contact with all the teams and are just waiting to see our options at this time" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
The league also announced that Slammer forward Robert Zandbeek has been suspended for 4 games and Steve Brazil has been suspended for 2 games for their actions at the conclusion of game 2.
"I didn't see exactly what Robert did but I knew he did something and after reading the referee's report I understand the length of the suspension and we as an organization agree with the league's decision.
The Slammers also requested the hit on Andre Guay to be reviewed but the league made the decision that the video was inconclusive. They made their decision and but we have our view of the incident. The decision has been made and we will move on and concentrate on tonight's game" added Tatarnic. |
