Coach Tatarnic will be entering his fifth season as the Woodstock Slammers bench boss. Tatarnic has played a key role in the developing a program that has been regarded as one of the top programs in the Maritime Junior “A” Hockey League. Since taking over as head coach of the Woodstock Slammers he has asserted himself and the program as one of the nation’s best. In the last four seasons under Tatarnic’s guidance the Slammers have won a league championship in 2006 and appeared in the league final in 2008 and the team sports a .625 winning percentage.A native of Thorold, Ontario, Tatarnic graduated from Brock University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. While at Brock, Tatarnic was a three-year member of the Brock Varsity Hockey Team. As a player he was named the "Best All-Around Player" and was selected to attend Team Canada's Training Camp in 1998. Coach Tatarnic has experience playing and coaching in several high performance settings serving as the player/assistant coach of the Amsterdam Tigers of the Dutch Elite League and he Hull Thunder of the British National Hockey League. During his tenure in Europe, Tatarnic was named "Player of the Year" and “Forward of the Year”. Tatarnic retired from professional hockey in 2001 as a member of the Port Huron Border Cats of the United Hockey League.
Coach Tatarnic has never missed post season play in his coaching career. Tatarnic has coached over 50 players that have advanced to Canadian University, US College or Professional hockey. During his coaching career three teams have been nationally ranked in the top five in the country. Jason resides in Woodstock with his wife Sara and his daughters Avery, Finley and Rory.

Danny Braun will be entering his second season as the Slammers GM although he has been with the team since our inaugural season in the MJAHL as Director of Player Personnel. Braun continues to lead the scouting and player development components of our team and works closely with Head Coach Tatarnic on all player personnel issues.
A native of Fredericton, NB, Braun has worked and resided in Plaster Rock since 1985 were he now serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Village of Plaster Rock. Having a background in Sport &Recreation (University of Waterloo) Danny has been involved in sports and hockey his entire life. He holds an Advanced I Coaching certificate from the NCCP and has coached a variety of levels of hockey including High School for 13 years and Senior hockey in the Roger Lizotte Senior A League.
Braun resides in Plaster Rock with his wife Andrea and children Jared, Kelsie and Heather. Chris Beaudoin will be entering his first season as the team’s strength and conditioning coach. Chris will look to improve the Slammer’s conditioning based on the latest techniques and scientific research to ensure peak performance and injury prevention.
A native of Montreal, QC, Chris will be graduating from the University of New Brunswick this year with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Chris holds a variety of certifications such as: Personal Fitness Trainer from Fitness New Brunswick, multiple levels of hockey coaching certifications with Hockey Canada as well as the ability to teach the use of Russian Kettle-bell training techniques from Agatsu Canada.
Along with completing his university degree this year, Coach Beaudoin works as a Personal Fitness Trainer out of Kingswood gym in Fredericton, where he services a variety of clients, ranging from elite athletes to beginners in the fitness world. Chris also helps the Saint Thomas University men’s hockey team with their Strength and Conditioning as well as Athletic Therapy and also works with Hockey New Brunswick’s High Performance Program.
Coach Beaudoin is still relatively young but has gained great amounts of knowledge and experience very quickly thanks to working closely with his mentor Richard St.Pierre who is regarded as one of the top personal trainers in the area. Chris has spent the past few years working with St.Pierre, helping him in his own private consulting work. Through his experiences he’s had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes ranging from young amateurs to elite professionals.
Bryan Hamilton
Physical Therapist & Equipment Manager
Bryan Hamilton is a new addition to the Woodstock Slammers staff, entering his first year with the team. Bryan graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2005 with a Kinesiology degree concentrated in Athletic Therapy. He has been training and working as an Athletic Therapist for the past seven years. During his studies, he worked with the UNB Men’s Hockey Team from 2002-2005 as the Assistant Trainer and won provincials with the Fredericton High School Football Team as Head Trainer. Bryan was the Alberta Cup Trainer for Central Alberta in 2006, working with the team and winning the silver medal in the finals. This was also the same year he began working in Drumheller, Alberta as the Trainer for the Drumheller Dragons Junior ‘A’ Hockey team. In 2008, Bryan also agreed to take the position as Head Trainer during the Mac’s Midget ‘AAA’ Hockey Tournament for the Vancouver North-West Giants, with the team winning second place overall.
After spending four years with the Drumheller Dragons, Bryan decided to return to his home province of New Brunswick and became the Trainer for the Woodstock Slammers Maratime Junior ‘A’ Hockey Team. Despite his serious demeanor on the bench, Bryan is very approachable and easy to get along with. Coming to work with the Slammers has also allowed him to work alongside his brother Ryan, the teams Sports Psychologist, which has been a life long goal and achievement.
